Super Semeria Bus to Guayaquil

After a bad experience, I always took a minivan to Guayaquil (and return). A few weeks ago, we were taking my wife's kids back to the airport for an early morning departure. The price for minivan and hotel in GYE was out of sight, so we decided to take a night bus - and arrive in time for the airport check in. Fantastic decision! We made seat reservations for the whole group, in advance, and were treated to the surprise of our life. Comfortable seats, comfortable ride, no white-knuckles suicide drivers - and we saved a lot of money.

Saturday, we took off to Guayaquil again, but took the "slow bus" in the daytime, via Canares. Same wonderful experience, a lot more to see, and good visibility on this route.

At the terminal, look for Super Semeria.

  1. We have also taken both the van and the same bus. The bus is much better!

  2. You are completely right! about those crazy drivers. Some friends have told me all about it when they hired them before. But, not all of them are the same. Looking for first class like taking a plane it is expensive and the service is a VIP treatment and worth it . It is always a choice to pay for a GREAT SERVICE . Prices are higher but the BEST TREAT . If you or your family and friends change your mind and decide to take a Private Van again, I highly recommend Jorge Lopez . He is extremely safe, cautious and honest person and driver. His service is excellent and new vehicle. He can be reached at cell phone# 0989031961 jorgerenelomen@hotmail.com www.ecuavantransportation.com Maria Murillo

  3. Hello Anonymous... So, you are recommending that they pay $80 for a trip to Guayaquil (and no way back), instead of $8?

Also, I doubt that his Cadillac is more comfortable.

  4. Hello Anonymous... No, I´m not recommending those $80 or $120 bit up cars van drivers that drive like maniacs. I´ve used those before too and never will again. I just spoke to Jorge Lopez cell phone #0989031961 jorgerenelomen@hotmail.com www.ecuavantransportation.com I highly recommend Jorge Lopez He is a safety driver and have new vehicles. He just mentioned over the phone that for over two years he is been charging the same airport price listed Guayaquil-Cuenca one way in a private van $170 . In a private car Guayaquil-Cuenca $150. I have used Jorge several times for over a year and i´m so happy with his service. I have met many ex pats NA that also have used Jorge and they are so thankful and glad to have found him. Jorge speaks good english and he is a facilitator. Those driver at the airport charge the same as Jorge and they don´t speak any english and also drive like maniacs going thru scary curves up in the mountains. Good luck my friends. It is always a choice. I don´t mind paying extra if it is an excellent service. Maria Murillo

  5. This is for Super Semeria. We took a bus from Guayaquil to Cuenca and it was the worst service. There was no a/c and the bus was some what new so the windows didn't open. We wanted to remove our luggage but the driver was unwilling to take them off the bus. Buyer beware.
